(Update below) you’ve probably seen this on youtube and are reading this to see if the production ones are as good as those ones. yes it is (at least mine is). first this is a budget sword and not a machete, it’s 3/16ths inch thick and has some flex to the blade, less than a machete and more than a knife and has a knife like edge. the blade grind is very unusual, it’s a full flat grind on the top third of the blade that then turns into a gradually increasing saber grind for the rest and in the youtube reviews it looks like it’s distal taper goes from thick to thin back to thick again but it actually doesn’t, that thin portion is kind of a swedge like deal ( it’s so different that i don’t know what the correct terminology for it is) but it does keep it’s thickness almost to the tip. the first inch of the blade from the grip is kept dull on purpose and even has the black coating covering it
• Editors says: Fell a 6” tree-not sure how that guy chipped his look, i’m not sure how the “top” negative review managed to damage his “brush sword” so severely. either his is an outlier of poor quality, mines an outlier of more superb quality, or he hit rocks with it.i started testing mine on 1” saplings and branches. when these proved no problem, i found a tree near my garage i’d been meaning to remove. this tree was a 6” poplar (quaking aspen, specifically)
